IPSA Conference on Food Security, 03/26: Nutrition Breakout on Social Enterprise and Combating Malnutrition

March 23, 2010

Please consider setting aside some time this Friday, March 26th, to attend all or some of the Wagner IPSA Conference on Food Security: Strategies for a Malnourished Planet.

Though the whole day’s events look fabulous, if you only have a couple hours to spare, come to the WFPA-organized breakout session on nutrition with Ellen Gustafson, co-founder of the FEED Project! The discussion, while focusing on nutrition and health concerns, will also speak on the use of social enterprise in combating malnutrition worldwide.

The Feed Project is a social enterprise started in partnership with the UN World Food Program (WFP) to feed hungry children through the sale of FEED bags. Ellen Gustafson will discuss how their social venture business model helps the WFP address concerns of international nutrition through its school feeding program.

For more information, see the flyer below, got to the IPSA Conference Event Page or the IPSA Conference Facebook PagePlease RSVP at wagner.nyu.edu/events.
