February 24, 2011

The WFPA is excited to be partnering with a fabulous group of leaders to co-host the Oxfam American Hunger Banquet on March 8th, 2011!

Join us at the New York Action Center on March 8th as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day by co-hosting an Oxfam America Hunger Banquet. Speakers include Majora Carter, a staffperson from Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s Office, and Ms. Cissé, a Mali farmer and member of a shea butter cooperative under MobioM (Malian Organic Farmers’ Movement)!

Film: The event will include a new version of the film Sisters on the Planet that introduces four US women as they join with their global counterparts to confront hunger, poverty, and climate change.
