World Food Day is October 16: How will you participate?

October 14, 2011

This Sunday is the 31st annual World Food Day, a worldwide event established by the Food and Agriculture Organization as a platform for raising awareness about agricultural development, food security, poverty and hunger. In light of the rising cost of food, this year’s theme is “Food prices – from crisis to stability.” There are a number of ways to get involved in the city, from events centering on food justice to hosting your own Sunday dinner.

Below is a list of World Food Day-related events in our area. How will you celebrate? Please feel free to add your thoughts or additional event info in the comments section.
