NYU Meatless Mondays | Hands-On Vegetarian Cooking Night
With much appreciation to the NYU Steinhardt Food Studies Program, the NYU Meatless Mondays campaign will host an event with local chefs, NYU students and faculty for a night of hands-on teaching and cooking in the Steinhardt kitchens on the evening of Friday, April 13th. We will split into small groups with the chefs to prepare individual dishes before sitting down together to share a meal. If you’d like to help prep, cook, learn some techniques – great, you’ll be in good company to do so! If not, no pressure at all, come for good food and good people and be a part of building the Meatless Monday movement at NYU.
If you have a favorite vegetarian, vegan or sustainable eats focused cookbook – bring it! We’ll include a pause to talk about how we can continue to incorporate vegetarian cooking and build community beyond this event.
This event is free and open to members of the NYU community and food policy allies. Details about the format of the evening, kitchen policies, and any necessary items to bring will be shared with the guest list prior to the event. Should you need to cancel or amend your RSVP in any way, please email Christina Bronsing at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A special thanks to our Veg Cooking Instructors/Chefs for the evening: Ryan Brown, Jaclyn Clenney, Rachel Hannon, and Jen Steinhagen.
